Local Featured Seller: Hardin Creations

Who are you? Meredith Hardin of Hardin Creations

Where are you located?  Raleigh, North Carolina

What do you create?  Children’s clothing, Decorations mostly buntings

What is your favorite place to visit in the "triangle"?  The Farmers Market, it’s beautiful all year round … I love the way it smells, the way it looks, it’s always busy in the friendliest of ways. Plus you can get the best orangeade there!
Custom Bunting
When did you start creating?  I started sewing about a year ago, I picked up a sewing machine at a yard sale and soon after found out that my brother and sister-in-law were expecting their first child. With the motivation of making some baby gifts that would be worth keeping I taught myself how to use my machine, and fell in love with it.

What is your most cherished handmade item?
A crocheted tree top angel that my grandmother and great aunt made, it wouldn’t be Christmas without that on our tree.
Custom Bunting
Who inspires you?   My family, my grandmothers were both very creative. They did a lot of crochet, sewing, quilting, painting, writing, and of course they both loved to feed people. My maternal grandma was always up for a party, she loved to have people over to celebrate anything, and I love that attitude, sometimes life knocks you down, so we should celebrate every time we get get back up and all the little times in between too!

Where do you create?  I have a craft room at our house, my husband was hoping to make it into his “man cave” but I snuck in there and nested first!
Custom Baby Romper with Embroidery
What do you do when you are not creating?  Cook, I absolutely love to cook, I also inherited my love of feeding people from my grandmothers. So you’ll often find our house full of friends enjoying a meal together. We also have three lab mixes so they keep up busy!
