Saint Patrick's Day

Saint Patrick's Day is celebrated in honor of the patron saint of Ireland. To symbolize Ireland, the Emerald Isle, in the USA we put on some green, or else get pinched, and celebrate anything and everything Irish! Green, gold, shamrocks, luck, leprechauns, music, food, and many other Irish traditions are all revered on this Holiday.

Looking for some handcrafted ways to bring a wee bit o’ Irish into your St. Patrick’s Day? Several NC Triangle Artists will be having SALES for St. Patrick’s Day, so be sure to stop in our NC Triangle Etsy Shops and see what’s going on!

Some other Etsy teams are holding promotional sales. EcoEtsy has made it easy to Go Green this Holiday, in more ways than one! The team is holding a St. Pattie's Day Scavenger Hunt on March 16. Visit the the EcoEtsy Steet Team’s Blog for more details about the participating shops, the image you’ll be hunting for, and the Green Prizes!

If you’re in the Triangle area be sure to visit the Raleigh St. Patrick’s Day Parade and Festival. The Raleigh parade is the second largest in the Southeast, with over 3,500 marchers including floats, pipe and drum bands, horses, dancers and mascots. Just as the Parade comes to an end, The Green Beret Parachute Team flies in overhead landing right in the middle of everything to kick off the Festival! How cool! Then the real fun begins with Irish crafts, cultures, food, drink, games, and plenty of ShamRock N Roll for the whole family!

May the Luck o’ the Irish be with ye lads and lasses this Saint Patrick’s Day! And don't forget to sport some green!

All of the pieces featured in this article are handcrafted by NC Triangle Artists and are available in shops on Etsy.com. Interested? For more information on any of these festive items give them a click!
