Erin @ Turtley Awesome Crafts
Where are you located?
Fayetteville, North Carolina
What do you create?
I create wonderful gifts for babies and toddlers.
What is your favorite place to visit in the "triangle"?
I'm new to the area, I've only been here a year and a half. But in Fayetteville, off of Ramsey St., there is a beautiful bike/walking trail that me and my husband and son like to take walks there.
When did you start creating?
When did you start creating?
I started creating shortly after my 8 month old son was born. Around June of this year.
What inspires you?
What inspires you?
My son does! Almost everything I make/made has been for him first. I had picked a fairly new bedding collection for his room, so it didn't have all the cool stuff some of the other collections did. From then on I was determined to make whatever I wanted for him myself.
Why did you choose your shop name?
Why did you choose your shop name?
I choose Turtley Awesome Crafts because I fell in LOVE with turtles when I was still pregnant. My son's whole room is all about turtles and that's where I got my start! I thought it was a cute name!
Do you have any advice to share on how you have made your business grow?
Do you have any advice to share on how you have made your business grow?
Having support from my husband and family was always number one. If they didn't back me I don't think I would have the drive to create new things everyday. I also participate in many groups on Cafemom and I blog. I truely believe that interacting with moms about daily life stuff on Cafemom and blogspot has helped my business grow. It lets them know that I'm not just a robot that creates stuff just for the money, I'm a real person and I love what I do! I also have a Twitter account. Its like mini blogging, short and sweet!

I'm playing with my son, David. As of lately he's been a little mover and shaker, so I love to crawl around on the floor with him and teach him how to walk. We do stuff as a family when my husband gets home from work, like going on walks or taking a "Sunday drive" and explore Fayetteville and the surrounding areas.
fantastic! thanks =]
