Handmade Happenings - October 14-17, 2010

A bit of an early edition of the Handmade Happenings this week, in order to bring you news of two Trunk shows on Thursday & Friday.   Plus, there are events in Pinehurst & Raleigh on Saturday.  Enjoy!

Trunk Show at A Southern Season
Meet photographer Jill Davis during "Made in North Carolina" month at Chapel Hill's landmark gourmet market!  Orange Cat Art's complete line of NC photographic prints, cards & calendars will be on hand, including licensed images from Triangle area universities.

Friday, October 15
Trunk Show at DownTown Knits - Apex
Get a chance to see (and purchase) all of Esther’s handspun art yarns, art fiber batts, one of a kind wearables in person!! Pet, smoosh and just love on all the pretty colors and fibers! Esther will be giving a short talk on how to incorporate handspun yarn into your projects, with pattern recommendations. Free patterns will be available. Esther will also have her wheel and will be doing some spinning demonstrations.  Bring any projects you’re working on (spinning, knitting or whatever...) Join us for wine, snacks, and fibery fun!

Holly Arts & Crafts Festival - Pinehurst
The Pinehurst Business Guild will welcome nearly 200 artisans, crafters and more as it celebrates the 32nd Annual Holly Arts and Crafts Festival.  Held in the heart of Pinehurst's Historic Old Town area,  
the all-day event combines the talents of hand crafters in a variety of genres - from woodworking to glass, stitched art to lawn ornaments, hand-crafted jewelry to metal sculpture.
