Handmade Happenings, June 24-26, 2011

Since the first "official" day of summer was this week, it's a perfect time for a road trip!  Some of our artists will be participating in a harbor art festival in the New Bern area this weekend.  Stop by on your way to the beach, or if you're staying in town, visit a farmers market!

Bridgeton RiverFest - Fine Art at the Harbor
Browse through works of some of the finest artists in the eastern North Carolina area, a region noted for nautical and natural images and artists renowned for their quality and innovation.  Find just the right image for that bare spot on your wall or a beautiful gift for those you love.  Just across the Neuse River from historic New Bern, NC, Riverfest also includes a sailboat race, pirate-themed kids activities, food & music!

When: Friday - 1 PM to 7 PM; Saturday, 10 AM to 7 PM

Saturday, June 25
Cary Downtown Farmers Market
The Cary Downtown Farmers Market features only items grown or produced by the vendor within a 100-mile radius of the market.  Let us be your first stop for locally grown vegetables and fruit, pasture-raised meats, eggs, honey, cut flowers, landscape plants, crafts, pottery, jewelry, home-made jams, jellies, sauces and baked goods.
Where: Chatham Square Shopping Center, 744 East Chatham Street, Cary NC
When: 8:00 am - 12:30 pm
