Handmade Happenings, July 1-4, 2011

Come join us for events celebrating the 4th of July in the NC Triangle all weekend long!  Wishing everyone a happy & safe Independence Day!

Friday, July 1
First Friday - Raleigh
Join us for a fun-filled introduction to Raleigh's exciting art, music and dining scene.  Enjoy a free self-guided tour of local art galleries, art studios, museums, retail, restaurants and alternative art venues!
Where: Downtown Raleigh
When: 6:oo pm - ??? (times vary by venue)
Sellers to look for: 
* Metamorphosis has an open house at her studio in The Carter Building- 14 Glenwood Ave, Studio #24 from 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm.
* OldBroomStreet (aka Bordeaux Lane Studio) and LaTeDaJewels will be at the Morning Times Market on Harget Street (between Fayetteville & Wilmgington Streets.) Local art vendors, music by One Tribe, fire hooping by Pickle Mamas, and more! In front of the Morning Times Coffee Shop and the Raleigh Times Bar from 7:00 pm - 11:00 pm.

Saturday, July 2
Founding Fathers Bash
Kick off your holiday celebration at your local Earth Fare this Saturday. We’ll be serving up an All-American Cook Out, plus live music, prizes, local vendors and fireworks after dark! The burgers are only a buck, and all Servicemen eat FREE!
Where: EarthFare, 10341 Moncreife Rd. Raleigh, NC

Festival for the Eno
A great festival featuring local arts & crafts, music, food and fun! The Festival is presented by the Eno River Association, which is committed to the preservation of the nature, culture, and history of the Eno River basin.
Where: West Point on the Eno Park, Durham
When: 10:00 am - 6:00 pm each day

Monday, July 4
North Carolina State Capitol Celebrates July 4
Pack a picnic, bring your lawn chairs and your blankets, and enjoy the Independence Day holiday weekend by attending this annual patriotic celebration on Monday, July 4. The North Carolina State Capitol will sponsor this fun-filled family event that has become a downtown Raleigh tradition.
Where: Edenton, Salisbury, Morgan and Wilmington Streets, Downtown Raleigh
When: Noon - 4:00 pm
