Handmade Happenings, November 4-6, 2011

The first weekend of November and some chilly fall weather to get you in the mood for holiday shopping!  Our team members are participating in events in Raleigh, Roxboro and Morrisville this weekend, so come out a say hello.  A fun way to shop local & handmade this holiday season - see you there! 

Friday, November 4
First Friday - Raleigh

Join us for a fun-filled introduction to Raleigh's exciting art, music and dining scene.  Enjoy a free self-guided tour of local art galleries, art studios, museums, retail, restaurants and alternative art venues!
Where: Downtown Raleigh
When: 6:00 pm - ??? (times vary by venue)

Artists to visit:
* LaTeDaAdornments will be at the Morning Times Market on Harget Street (between Fayetteville & Wilmgington Streets.) Local art vendors, live music and more! In front of the Morning Times Coffee Shop and the Raleigh Times Bar from 7:00 pm - 11:00 pm.
* Metamorphosis has an open house at her studio in The Carter Building- 14 Glenwood Ave, Studio #24 from 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm.

Annual Autumn Art Fest - Raleigh
The Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Raleigh is hosting its annual art festival this weekend. What a great way to start your holiday shopping! Items for sale will include pottery, jewelry, stained glass, paintings, textiles, photography, woodworking, baskets, and much more. Visitors will also enjoy browsing, so bring your friends and neighbors. Where: 3313 Wade Avenue, Raleigh When: Friday 6 - 9 pm; Saturday - 10 am - 5 pm; Sunday - 10 am - 2 pm

Holiday Craft Fair - Morrisville
The 3rd Annual Fall Craft Fair at the year-round Western Wake Farmers' Market. In addition to the regular vendors, you'll find jewelry, crocheted and knitted items, artisan foods, soaps, lotions, canvas art, pottery, and so much more!

6th Annual Holiday Extravaganza - Roxboro 

A variety of local & home businesses, artists & crafters will be represented at this event at the Roxboro Community School. Plus, stew by the quart and by the bowl, and a silent auction!
