Durham's local creative reuse center, The Scrap Exchange, is issuing a Call for Artist for the 2012 Craftland to be held in the Scrap Exchange's Artist Market. All artists and crafters who use re-purposed materials are invited to apply.
Craftland is the Scrap Exchange’s annual holiday marketplace. All items for sale at Craftland are created by local artists and are made from re-purposed materials. Craftland will be open in The Artist Market during The Scrap Exchange’s regular store hours from November 16th- January 18th. It will also be open for the Durham Art Walk and monthly 3rd Friday art openings. Craftland is a juried show and is curated by the Scrap Exchange staff.
Artists who wish to participate in Craftland must submit an application and 3-5 photos either by email to (Craftland2012@gmail.com), by appointment, or by mail for review. Early applications are encouraged. Participating artists are chosen based upon the quality, originality and creativity of their work.
