Activate Good Announces its 5th Annual Couture for a Cause Fashion Show and Auction
Pairing local designers with local nonprofits
RALEIGH, N.C. – Activate Good has announced its fifth annual Couture for a Cause fashion show to be held on Saturday, November 9, 2013 at Marbles Kids Museum, located in downtown Raleigh. Doors open at 7 PM and the show will start around 8 PM. This year, Project Runway finalist Justin LeBlanc will join our panel of judges and WRAL's Debra Morgan will emcee.
Tickets are now on sale! General admission tickets are $25 in advance and $30 at the door. VIP tickets are $75 and include VIP seating, VIP lounge access and cuisine, private cash bar, coat check, and a goodie bag.
Couture for a Cause is a fun fashion show that highlights participating nonprofit partners and raises funds to help support Activate Good’s programs, which aim to activate volunteers to help causes in the local community.
The show will pair Activate Good’s nonprofit partners with local designers who create ready-to-wear and couture outfits that embody the mission and spirit of the nonprofit they are paired with. The designers whose outfits best capture the essence of their organization according to a judges’ panel wins a cash prize. Couture for a Cause is the perfect blend of fashion and philanthropy. The event allows local nonprofits to gain exposure, allowing the public to understand what they do for the community through the lens of fashion.

This year, over 20 local designers will participate in Couture for a Cause. In addition to ready to wear and couture runway shows, the event will feature an exclusive VIP lounge, a red carpet style step and repeat photoshoot, hors d'oeuvre, a cash bar, silent auction, and a live auction of the runway outfits.
