The 'Works - Raleigh
Along with our independence, Raleigh revelers will have lots to celebrate & enjoy! Food, beverages, Kids Zone, athletic stunt performances, music, art vendors and, of course, fireworks!
Where: Art Vendors will be located on Fayetteville Street, between Hargett & Martin Streets, Downtown Raleigh, NC

First Friday - Raleigh
Join us for a fun-filled introduction to Raleigh's exciting art, music and dining scene.  Enjoy a free self-guided tour of local art galleries, art studios, museums, retail, restaurants and alternative art venues!
Where: Downtown Raleigh

* Cockamamie Jewelry will be the featured artist at Nora & Nicky's new location at 19 West Harget Street, 5:30 pm - 9:00 pm.
* metamorphosis metals will have an open studio in The Carter Building, 14 Glenwood Avenue, Studio #24 from 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm.
* Bordeaux Lane Studio will be at the Morning Times Market on Harget Street (between Fayetteville & Wilmgington Streets.) Local art vendors, live performances & more! In front of the Morning Times Coffee Shop and the Raleigh Times Bar from 7:00 pm - 11:00 pm.
* Orange Cat Art has photography in the "Primary" exhibit at the Visual Art Exchange, 309 W. Martin Street. Opening reception from 6:00 pm  - 9:00 pm.

Take your mind off the heat this weekend with some artistic diversions! Start out in Raleigh for the NC Arts Council's 2nd Saturday event, then road trip up to The Big Crafty in Asheville (it's sure to be cooler in the mountains, right?)  See you there!

NC Arts Council 2nd Saturday - Images of the Capitol
Experience the State Capitol from different vantage points, take part in an architectural photography clinic, or bring your sketchbook. Painters, photographers and other visual artists will be on-site.  (Part of the NC Arts Council's 2nd Saturdays program, offering arts, crafts, heritage & fun through events at historic sites across the state on the 2nd Saturdays of each month all summer long.)

The Big Crafty
