Handmade Happenings - April 15-17, 2011

We have a wide variety of events all around the Triangle this weekend - from an Earth Day celebration on NC State's campus in Raleigh, the farmer's market in Cary, an arts & craft show in Hillsborough, a special trunk show in Chapel Hill.  And if you're feeling like a road trip, there's even a show in Richmond for you hardcore handmade afficianados.  See you there!

NC State Earth Day 2011

NC State Earth Day strives to promote, inform and empower our campus community towards a more sustainable future. Campus departments, student groups, community organizations, fair-trade clothing stores, local artists & more will all be in attendance.

Cary Downtown Farmers Market
The Cary Downtown Farmers Market features only items grown or produced by the vendor within a 100-mile radius of the market.  Let us be your first stop for locally grown vegetables and fruit, pasture-raised meats, eggs, honey, cut flowers, landscape plants, crafts, pottery, jewelry, home-made jams, jellies, sauces and baked goods.

Hillsborough Downtown Arts & Craft Show
The Third Annual Hillsborough Craft Show is a juried show offering original art and quality handcrafted items of 40 NC artisans.  Adding to the fun will be wonderful live music, the exciting opening of the Hillsborough Sculpture Tour, the Spring Wine Tasting at Weaver Street Market, as well as activities and goodies at The Eno River Farmers Market.
