Hello,
ReplyDeleteJust thought some people may be interested in this event in Raleigh:
The FIFTH annual Insplosure will be held inside the Pour House Music Hall on Saturday May 21st from noon-5:00 p.m. the weekend of Artsplosure.
This is an unjuried arts and craft market , designed to showcase local talent in the midst of Artsplosure. In case you don't know, the Pour House is at the corner of Blount and Martin, right in the middle of the action (check out www.the-pour-house.com for more info). As many of you already know, the bar draws an automatic crowd as folks escape the heat and seek libation, so we always have good traffic. And it’s pretty safe to say that after five years, we’ve got cache of our own!
Vendor fee is $20 per artist, and we're offering spots to 20 artists. You will need to provide your own displays. Please note that the Pour House has brick walls, so we won't be able to offer space to hang art--what you bring should be "proppable" or able to lay flat on the tables, or may be leaned against the wall. You should imagine your setup using no more than 6’x8’, and smaller is better! Also, the lighting inside the Pour House is minimal, and it stays dark inside, so plan to light your artwork, and bring extension cords.
Spaces will be available upstairs and down, but preference will be given to returning artists; should there be too many returning artists, downstairs spots will be awarded based on a lottery.
If you're interested, please send me an email by Friday, April 15th. Acceptance will be more-or-less first come-first served, but with preference given to returning artists. Once you have received an email from me confirming your acceptance, the booth fee must be paid by check or money order by May 1st, and should be made out and mailed to Caitlin Cary, 2821 Knowles St., Raleigh, NC 27603. If I haven’t received your fee by this deadline, I’ll immediately move to the waiting list.
