Handmade Happenings, May 20-22, 2011

Great opportunities to enjoy everything that's great about North Carolina and the Triangle this weekend!  Withe the Got to Be NC Festival at the State Fairgrounds, Artsplosure in downtown Raleigh, and a Greek Festival in Chapel Hill...  See you there!

Artsplosure
Raleigh's annual downtown arts festival is bigger & better than ever this year, with Kidsplosure, live music & more!  The Art Market is in the streets surrounding Moores Square & south on Blount Street. Plenty of downtown locations are hosting special events in conjunction with Artsplosure, so there's plenty to do!
Where: Moores Square & City Plaza, Downtown Raleigh 
When: Saturday, 11:00 am - 7:00 pm; Sunday, 10:00 am - 5:00 pm

Insplosure
The Pour House Music Hall is hosting artists indoors, too, as part of the weekend's festivities.  Stop in to listen to some live music and shop from more local artists & crafters!

Got to Be NC Festival
If you're going to the fairgrounds to enjoy all the wonderful things that are grown & handmade right here in North Carolina, be sure to check out Turtle Grass Body; A Handmade Market inside the Commercial Building of the Raleigh Fairgrounds.  Owned & operated by our own Laura Shook-Marino of Turtle Grass Body, her store also features the work of Linda Searcy Jewelry, Orange Cat Art, and more! (If you don't make it this weekend, she's there every weekend from 10-6.)

Greek Festival
Enjoy traditional Greek cuisine, music, dancing, art, crafts, religious items, clothing, gifts & novelties from Greek & Eastern Orthodox cultures at the St. Barbara's Greek Festival in Chapel Hill.
