As the summer winds to a close, those of us interested in arts & crafts are looking forward to the fall festival season! We have some great events to kick off the season with the global Etsy Craft Party on Friday evening, and the biggest festival in the Triangle - Lazy Daze! Hope to see you there!

Craft Party is a global celebration of meeting and making! It’s a time to get to know your neighbors and exercise your creative spirit. First Friday in October, beautiful fall weather, and great arts & crafts events!  Raleigh, Cary and Wilmington this weekend, and then a special event in Durham on Monday.  See you there!

First Friday - Raleigh
Join us for a fun-filled introduction to Raleigh's exciting art, music and dining scene.  Enjoy a free self-guided tour of local art galleries, art studios, museums, retail, restaurants and alternative art venues!

* Metamorphosis has an open house at her studio in The Carter Building- 14 Glenwood Ave, Studio #24 from 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm.

Riverfest - Wilmington
Riverfest has about 200 craft and food vendors plus fireworks, entertainment on two stages, various exhibits and a children’s area. Additional Riverfest activities include skateboard competitions, street dance, wakeboard competition and a musical Battle on the River by a number of bands, a film festival, and Art in the Garden tours of gorgeous private and public gardens enhanced by art and music. Plus - the Invasion of the Pirates!

Techshop RDU is one of the Meet-Up sites for this weekend's Etsy Summit!
The Acorn to Oak Handmade Team and Techshop RDU have planned 2 amazing full days of DIY, handmade and creative business classes - some streamed live from Etsy's summit in Berlin, some live and in person here in Raleigh.  There's something for everyone - yarn & fabric swap, wood turning, painting, metalsmithing, a food truck rally for lunch on Saturday, and much, much more!

Great opportunities to enjoy everything that's great about North Carolina and the Triangle this weekend!  Withe the Got to Be NC Festival at the State Fairgrounds, Artsplosure in downtown Raleigh, and a Greek Festival in Chapel Hill...  See you there!

Artsplosure
Raleigh's annual downtown arts festival is bigger & better than ever this year, with Kidsplosure, live music & more!  The Art Market is in the streets surrounding Moores Square & south on Blount Street. Plenty of downtown locations are hosting special events in conjunction with Artsplosure, so there's plenty to do!
