Day and Night in Downtown Fuquay-Varina

 Now in its 13th year our Day in Downtown Street Festival is growing into Day & Night in Downtown. The annual event organized by the Fuquay-Varina Chamber of Commerce, will be held Saturday, October 10, 2015 from 12:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Held on Main Street in the historic downtown Fuquay retail district, the event will include live dance and music demonstrations, juried arts & crafts fair, a beer & wine festival, and a food truck rodeo to create activities at all ends of the downtown area.

When: 12noon-7pm

Sunday, October 11, 2015 

2nd Sunday City mARTket Fair 

Artsplosure encourages the public to visit its market while in downtown each second Sunday of the month. This free-to-the-public art market will feature a jury-reviewed range of artists selling unique arts and crafts from painting, jewelry, woodworks and more. In addition to the art vendors, people are invited to step inside newly renovated Market Hall to join professional dancers in the styles of Bollywood, shag, ballroom and more!

Historic West End ARTSfest


The Historic West End ARTSfest will hold its 7th biennial juried fine art and fine craft festival this Sept. 27, 2015 from 11am to 5pm. Charming Grace Court will once again host thousands of art enthusiasts from all over NC. Nestled in the lovely West End historic district the official “front porch” of downtown Winston-Salem, Grace Court has been the home of ARTSfest since its inception in 2003.

Festifall

Join thousands in downtown Chapel Hill for the 43rd annual Festifall Arts Festival on October 4th, 2015! It is an extraordinary opportunity for the community, art enthusiasts and artists to interact. A variety of performing arts and a vibrant market of handmade artworks present a day of discovery for the festival’s attendees as they engage with the local art community. Historic West Franklin Street in Downtown Chapel Hill provides a beautiful backdrop to our celebration of arts culture in our community.

Art in the Park was created in 1962 by a handful of area artists and craftspeople to showcase local talent. 53 years after its start, Art in the Park is host to 90 artisans at each show. Some of the best local and regional artists and craftspeople showcase their handcrafted jewelry, pottery, fiber, glass, photography, painting and more.Art in the Park’s high standards and professional jury attract artisans from all over the Southeast to exhibit in a series of six shows, May through October. The quality of work exhibited draws thousands to the mountains each month.

The 4th Annual Waverly Place Farmers’ Market will kick off on April 25th with 20+ local produce, meats, cheeses, fresh baked goods and handmade crafts. You will find the market vendors under the green and white Waverly tents. lined up from the entrance near Triangle Wine Co. through to the Promenade.
The Waverly Farmers’ Market is part of LOCAL at Waverly Place, which is the backdrop every Saturday to all that our amazing community has to offer. From local musicians, to charities, to community performance groups, you can always expect something fun and exciting during LOCAL!
When: 9am-1pm

Come join us at the 39th Annual Lazy Daze Arts & Crafts Festival, one of the largest single day juried arts festivals in the United States. Due to construction, in 2015 the festival will be moved to Cary’s Town Hall Campus, a stone’s throw from the festival’s normal location. We’re confident the new location will be a great setting!

Oak City 7 is a summer concert series located in City Plaza (on Fayetteville Street) in beautiful downtown Raleigh.  Admission is free to the public and the events take place from 5pm to 10:30pm on Thursdays, beginning the Thursday after Memorial Day and ending the Thursday before Labor Day.
OC7 features notable local and regional bands along with local and craft beers.  There are at least 3 bands per event.
OC7 does not utilize any taxpayer money and is 100% sponsor driven.  The series will drive substantial revenue into the local economy encouraging attendees to visit local shops, bars, and restaurants before and after each event. Charlotte VegFest 2015

Charlotte VegFest is a celebration of healthy, sustainable, and compassionate eating and explores the endless benefits of vegetarian living. This FREE event will feature a variety of vegan foods, local veg restaurants and food trucks, local vendors, live music, speakers, nutritional experts, vegan cooking demonstrations, free prizes, gift bags and more! Pinehurst Strawberry Festival

Sunday morning, bask in the glory of a bygone era horse-drawn carriages from all over the east coast grace the streets in town. The parade of carriages features spectacular turn-of-the-century antique and reproduction carriages drawn by beautiful steeds. Following the parade enjoy the best of Moore County's bounty at the Strawberry Festival! Sample everything strawberry from ice cream to shortcake! This weekend is SPARKcon in Raleigh! SPARKcon’s “creative potluck” of SPARKs or creative themes such as art, music, film, fashion, geek, circus, food, etc.  is put together by passionate individuals who volunteer their expertise and are deeply embedded in a specific local scene. The result is a weekend packed full of artistic expression with a truly local flavor.
