This weekend is SPARKcon in Raleigh! SPARKcon’s “creative potluck” of SPARKs or creative themes such as art, music, film, fashion, geek, circus, food, etc.  is put together by passionate individuals who volunteer their expertise and are deeply embedded in a specific local scene. The result is a weekend packed full of artistic expression with a truly local flavor. Check out events where our team members will be displaying their work, and then venture out in Downtown Raleigh to experience all our area has to offer! (Full schedule of events.)

SPARKCon happens this weekend in Raleigh, which means there is no shortage of great arts activities all over town for the the next few days. But that's not all that's going on - Waverly Place's fall Jazz Series kicks off tonight in Cary. If you're in the mood for a road trip, head to Winston-Salem for the West End ARTSfest, a great biennial event in the historic district. It's going to be a beautiful weekend, see you there!

Light Nights at Waverly Place - Cary
Waverly’s fall Jazz Series begins tonight with Peter Lamb and the Wolves! Featuring local jazz favorites, great fall weather, and the peaceful ambiance of the Promenade. Enjoy the company of friends, a glass of wine and shop our local craft market.

West End ARTSfest - Winston-Salem
Nestled in the lovely West End historic district, Grace Court will host artists from across North Carolina for a day of arts, music & fun in a beautiful setting. Plus local food vendors, a children’s art activity area, and door prizes donated by the artists and local businesses. Come and experience art among the artistry of nature!

Pagan Pride Days Festival - Raleigh
This autumn celebration offers two days of both entertainment and education through social, commercial and spiritual activities. All are welcome to join or observe rituals, attend workshops, meet local groups, and much more, all in a festival environment full of arts & crafts vendors, music, and fun. Admission each day is an item for the Food Bank of Central and Eastern NC.

5th Annual SPARKcon
A “creative potluck” of SPARKs or creative themes such as art, music, film, fashion, food and more, organized by local individuals to display local talent and connect disparate creative scenes. This festival is made up of more than 16 different events over the 4 days -- check the schedule to find the "SPARKS" you won't want to miss!

Rock the Block with Chris Paul- Winston-Salem
An end of summer street party!  The Benton Convention Center will host a craft show with more than 30 local & regional artists, while outside along Fourth, Marshall, and Fifth Streets, Rock the Block will offer free music on four stages, a free BMX Bike show, a ticketed ($5) wine tasting festival,  food and merchandise vendor, and NBA star Chris Paul.
